Some high levels points on the topic:
- Increased exercise (weekend warrior) – without regular exercise to build our bodies natural antioxidant defences and without an effective nutrient diet with high antioxidants will result free radicals
- Free radicals occurs when oxygen in the body splits into single atoms with unpaired electrons. Electrons like to be in pairs, so these atoms, called free radicals, scavenge the body to seek out other electrons so they can become a pair. This causes damage to cells, proteins and DNA. Free radicals are associated with human disease.
- Free radicals can also occur with the food we eat, medicine we take, and water we drink.
I personally believe there is a strong connection with free radicals within my body which has overwhelmed my antioxidant system (because I am not consuming high antioxidant foods) and the formation of lipomas in my body.
That's why I'm not stopping the exercise, I'm doomed anyway, might as well look and feel better.
